Prints, and particularly prints from digital originals, come
with some idiosyncrasies regarding the longevity of the output
medium, authenticity, uniqueness, and copyright. These are important
issues and have little prior precedent in the digital world.
I've devised a method and policy that I believe addresses these
issues and serves both the collector and artist well.
Unique Editions
Many of the images here are available as signed unique edition
fine prints. When a print is purchased as a unique edition I
print a single edition of one print. I mount the print on a
highly durable base material (usually aluminum) and sign on
the mounting (usually by engraving). In addition to the print
I also supply a high resolution image file on a CD and grant
exclusive rights to the purchaser/owner to transfer the data
to any other medium and to reproduce the image as often as they
wish. I do this to assure the longevity of the print and the
uniqueness of the signed edition. I do reserve the right to
reproduce the image for reference and promotional purposes but
will not reproduce it for any other reason without the consent
of the owner.
Limited Editions
Some of the images are available only as signed limited edition
fine prints. When these images are purchased I will produce
single signed and numbered prints as ordered until the edition
size is met. Edition sizes may vary but are typically twenty
five. Please inquire about the size of the edition with specific
regard to the image(s) of interest.
